Interface settings
The Interface settings node contains settings related to how the backend administration interface behaves.
Pages
The Pages-section is used to configure page-related settings - you can:
- Set the Default publish mode for new pages:
- Hidden in menu
- Published
- Unpublished
- Check Show list for visual editor based pages to force grid-based pages to open in the List View editor mode
- Check Disable standard page to disable the standard (non-item-based) page type on the solution
Paragraphs
The Paragraphs-section is used to configure paragraph-related settings - you can:
- Check Disable standard paragraph to disable the standard (non-item-based) paragraph type on the solution
- Check Enable paragraph header field to include the standard Name-field on item-based paragraphs
Google fonts API
The Google Fonts API key setting lets you set the, well, Google Font API key which is used to retrieve font names & weights when using the Google Font item type.
Google maps API
The Google Maps API settings are used to set the API keys that are used whenever Dynamicweb needs to convert address data into geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) using Google Maps.
The Google Maps API key is required to access Google’s geocoding services. It is used when Dynamicweb sends address data to Google Maps in order to retrieve coordinates.
The Google Maps Client ID identifies your Google Maps setup and is used together with the API key when communicating with Google Maps services.
The Google Maps API key is created in the Google Cloud Console, you must enable the Geocoding API for it. The key should be allowed to perform server-side requests.
Both the API key and the Client ID must be set for geolocation features to work. If either value is missing, geolocation updates will be disabled in the user interface.

Color swatch
The Color swatch setting lets you customize the number of colors suggested when selecting colors using a Color swatch item field.
